The USM CAS-BIODEP Water Testing Laboratory is an independent service laboratory of the University of Southern Mindanao. The Laboratory caters the cheapest bacteriological and physical testing of potable and non-potable water from different places of North Cotabato, and neighboring provinces in the region.

            The Laboratory also caters microbiological analysis of food and environment samples.

            As of August 2015, the Health Facilities and Services Regulatory Bureau of the Department of Health accredited the Laboratory with accreditation no. 12-010-15-LW-1, authorizing the Laboratory to operate until license expires or revoked.
